"I wiped the lip gloss off my lips and reapplied my matte lipstick. The nude lip color complemented my sun-kissed cheeks and my outfit for the night—a short, black trapeze dress with one kimono sleeve, matched with my nude wedge ankle booties. I sprayed my neck lightly with my favorite scents—a combination of Chanel No. 5 and Issey Miyake. I put on my white-gold heart necklace, small hoop earrings, and my Tag Heuer watch. I slung my black shoulder bag over my shoulders, wearing it like a messenger bag, and brushed my hair several times until I felt satisfied with the way it looked.
